Central / IFC Fri, June 17 2011

After a relaxing drive through the country side and getting a welcome text from china (cause we were literally right next to the border), we decided to head into the city.  Below are some photos of and from the IFC mall, and some other fancy plaza’s in Central, Hong Kong. Hotsy Totsy for sure!

We had plans to meet up with Denise and her family to have dinner at their local “Cantina” the Crystal Jade.  A favorite and frequented place famous for their soup dumplings.  Ddddddddelicious! They had amazing noodles with this kick-ass peanut sauce, odd but tasty drunken chicken and yes wonderful soup dumplings! A big thank you to Denise’s Mother and family! Eugene (her brother) is hilarious.  After dinner we went up on the roof of the IFC building and walked around.  We had a great view of Victoria harbor and yep you guessed it, the building from Batman: The Dark Knight!! (its the one that looks like its glowing from the top)

After we took a nice ride on the ferry boat to cross the harbor and hop back on the bus back to Yuen Long.  The city is so bright and colorful! like a cross between Vegas and NYC.  Neon signs look SOOO much cooler in Cantonese characters!!
