Alright, time to get on some rides! Let’s go! So to get to the rides you can either take a train up the mountain, or a really cool looking cable car ride! Kayiu and D were scared the whole time, and the screaming lady in the car in front of us wasn’t helping! It was so much fun and there were some really great views!
Finally when we were all safe and on solid ground we decided to temp death yet again and we hopped in line for the river rafting ride! The line was about 40 minutes for a 3 minute ride! HA, this was the shortest river rafting ride I had ever been on. It was fun though, and the ONE mom that was in our boat was the only person who got wet. Why is it that moms are the only ones getting wet on these rides?
After the raging river, Mo and I jumped on the Mine car coaster. None of the coasters here were crazy fast but since they are all built on the side of a mountain over looking the ocean, there was an added fear factor involved. Lots of fun. They are building a new coaster that is sure to be a thriller. Maybe next time.
We took a little break from the rides and went into an aquarium to look at some jelly fish! It was really fun. Some awesome looking jelly fish. There was even a dark room where the jellies were lit with other lights! Made them look like they were glowing!
We then went over to the dolphin show and watched some pretty impressive dolphins jumping around in time with a very cheesy audio video montage of a young girl and her grandpa talking about humans and their animal friends. HA. It was fun but lets get back to the rides!
Mo and I took a ride on one of those dropping rides. I can’t remember the name of the ride, but it slowly brings you to the top, then drops you. It was really cool since we were on top of a mountain in the middle of the ocean so the view was spectacular. Mo and I imagined the whole time that we were just on a seat with no shoulder harness, and if this were so would we be able to hold on. Answer is, probably not. Glad we had those harnesses.
Last ride of the day, Mo and I hoped on THE DRAGON. We had to wait a couple turns so that we could get furthest front. But it was worth it! This coaster had some sick loops. The drop off wasn’t too impressive, but its starts with a slow diving curve out over a cliff facing the water so that was pretty cool and made up for the lack of speed. Over all we all saw some pretty cool stuff and had a ball at ocean park!
To cap off the evening we took a cab to Kennedy town (where Mo lives) and had dinner and D and Mo’s favorite eatery for some seafood! I guess we got hungry staring at all those fish all day. The food was delicious, and we drank beers from bowls. Sweat!
